We were out and about driving along the scenic route to Mithian so that I could take photographs at the churchyard there for my Graveyard Rabbit blog Ancestors at Rest. It was a beautiful sunny day, very windy though and a bit colder than it has been of late, but beautiful nonetheless.
The scenic route takes us on the very narrow, tucked away roads that are only wide enough for one car. Occasionally you see a cottage here and there or a farm and as we drove along we saw this:
These very eyecatching, brightly painted ploughs were all lined up on top of the wall. What a great idea for using old redundant farm implements.
My man Paul tells me that these were the old-type ploughs that would have been horsedrawn. A man would stand at the end where the handles are to guide it in the fields.
This is tucked away on one of those narrow Cornish roads so is probably only seen by local people. Such an interesting thing to come across suddenly!
